CORONA VIRUS - ST. PATRICK’S DANCE THIS SATURDAY POSTPONED Hi everyone, Just a quick note regarding the Corona virus and the dance scheduled this Saturday, March 14th. ... For those of you following the news as closely as I am, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention along with the World Health Organization has declared a global pandemic, with more than 100 countries being affected. The news reports also confirm infected people in the Los Angeles county and Long Beach area as well- very close to home.- Public health officials have issued a warning regarding the severity of this pandemic. Due to the nature of the Corona virus and the rate at which it’s spreading, health officials are urging the public to avoid attending events with large crowds where infection transmission is likely through coughing, touching, shaking hands, sharing food, etc. While I very much looked forward to celebrating our next upcoming dance, my sole intent is to protect the health and safety of the singles. With this being said, DJ Rick and I have decided to postpone the dance until further notice. I apologize for any inconvenience. I will resume with organizing the next dance in the usual fashion when the threat of this unfortunate global catastrophe has cleared and health officials deem safe to resume normal activities.
