We’ve had the pleasure of knowing Elise and seeing her go from high school English teacher to published author. What an amazing story and it couldn’t have happened to a better individual. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, one of our most loyal patients, Melissa would like to share some words. Ladies in particular, please read! Check your chest ladies and gents And if you find a lump, hurry fast, get it checked! 1 in 8 women will find cancer in the boobie.... And for every thousand men- one of them will get it too. It's mostly not genetic- so please, don't be fooled. Only 10% of all cases are in the family gene pool. How do I know this? Because it happened to me. At 34 years young I found a lump in the lefty. I went to the doc n said, "Please take em both!" I cried like a baby.. but I knew they had to go. I saved my own life, I can say this with pride. I caught that ish early and it's why I survived Don't delay friends- start checking when you're 30. The key to survival is to find it super early.
