This afternoon, the NLRB announced that they will delay the effective date of the Notice Posting requirement from November 14, 2011 to January 31, 2012. This is in response to the many lawsuits filed including those by the NFIB, and the US Chamber of Commerce. This delay will likely allow those cases to resolve themselves prior to this rule potentially going into effect. In addition, today Education and the Workforce Chairman John Kline introduced the Workforce Democracy and ...Fairness Act which directly addresses the NLRB election rulemaking and other decisions designed to promote unions at the employers expense. HR 3094 will probably be heard later this year, and it is probably one that members should support with letters.
