Master Shi Yan Yong started his professional training at Songshan Shaolin Temple in China as a warrior monk when he was 10 years old. There, he earned his Bachelor degree in Martial Arts and Sports Therapy. Master Yan Yong has more than 20 years of experience in Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu, modern martial arts, kick-boxing, Kung Fu Yoga, Tai Chi and Qigong. He has earned more than 20 Championship titles and Gold Medals in international and national competitions. He is now ran...ked as National 1st Level Referee in Martial Arts in China. Master Yan Yong performed and directed many Shaolin Kung Fu performances in more than 30 countries around the world. Such performances include Magnificent Shaolin, Wheel of Life, Shaolin Prestige, and CCTV’s Same Song. Because of his extraordinary achievement and reputation in the field of Martial Arts, Master Yan Yong was invited to participate in the making of more than 20 motion picture films as a martial art designer, director and stunt performer, including Oscar nominated film Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and other famous films such as Outlaws of Water Margin, The Legend of the Condor Heroes, and Eightfold Path of the Heavenly Dragon. Master Shi Yan Yong came to the United States in 2007 and has been teaching Shaolin Kung Fu in the Bay Area ever since.
