Take our CAP Case-of-the-Month Challenge: A 28-year-old G2 P1-2 mother delivers a female neonate at 34 weeks gestation. Prenatal history is significant for int...rauterine growth restriction. At delivery, the neonate is small for gestational age and has an omphalocele on physical examination. The placenta weighs 975 g. The umbilical cord measures 22.0 cm in length and shows three vessels. The fetal surface appears thickened and tan with prominent dilated chorionic vessels. The maternal surface is tan-pink and partially disrupted. Sections of the villous parenchyma show multiple edematous "grape-like" cystic structures filled with thin serous fluid. A representative section of the placenta is provided. What's your diagnosis?
