It’s that time of year. The river runs low. The valley is blanketed in winter white. The canyons grow dark as the sun sets behind the ridge. It is a time of rest and reflection.

CERFplus announces the third cycle of our COVID-19 Relief Grant for artists! The $1,000 grants are for artists working in craft disciplines who are facing dire ...circumstances due to food, housing, and/or medical insecurities as a result of the ongoing pandemic. "The CERF+ COVID-19 Relief Grant was a godsend. Thanks to the grant, I was able to catch up on my gas and light bills, get wood and manure for my pottery, and buy things I needed for my two grandkids that I'm raising. - Judy Tafoya (6th generation Tewa Tribe potter from Santa Clara Pueblo) The third cycle will begin accepting applications on January 13, and will close on February 3rd, 2021. Priority will be given to Black, Indigenous, People of Color and folk and traditional artists. Follow the link to learn more: https://cerfplus.org/cerf-covid-19-relief-grant/

Sierra County Artist Marjorie Voorhees just installed these amazing Stained-Glass side window entry panels of conifers. She is shown standing in the beautiful blue glow cast by sunlight shining through vibrant colored glass. She is also shown in front of the Sattley Cash Store holding the pattern she used to create this incredible work of art.
