We hope you have an INCREDIBLE Halloween! Don’t forget even super heroes need to brush their teeth. Here are a few INCREDIBLE tips to keep in mind this Halloween: ... 1. Enjoy a treat with meals or within a short time after meals. Saliva production will increase throughout meals and helps wipe away acids made by bacteria in your mouth and helps rinse away food particles. 2. Avoid hard and sticky candy. Try not to suck or chew candies for a long period of time. The longer the candy sits on the teeth increases the risk of tooth decay. 3. Chocolate with no sticky fillings are some of the best sweets for your dental health as it will generally not linger on your teeth and can be easily rinsed off. 4. Rinse with water after eating candy. This will help by removing food and sugar left over on your teeth and reduce the amount of acid present in the mouth. We love our morning coffee, but can sometimes be concerned with coffee stains on our teeth. Here are tips to reduce coffee stains on teeth: 1. Drink water. This provides a mini-shower for your teeth that will reduce the amount of residue on your teeth after you drink a cup of coffee. 2. Use a straw. This reduces the amount of coffee touching your teeth and t...herefore reducing stain build up. 3. Decrease your coffee exposure time. When drinking coffee for prolong periods of time increases the amount of time the residue will remain on your teeth.
