Looking for a runaway minor in Redding, CA last night. No sightings on this night. Good news. Family contacted us before patrol tonight to inform us that their child was on the way home. If you would like to help our community, leave us a message here on our page.

I just would like to take a minute to advise my community members. If you are not positively certain of the facts and do not have knowledge of what you can legally do, please do not act. This weekend a man riding his bicycle was accused of looting off of Keswick Dam Rd. The accuser then maced the man riding the bike and drove off. This 73 year old man is a Veteran, retired EMT of 22 years and I call him my brother as he is also one of our Shasta County Guardi...an Angels. He's doing much better as he has been treated at a local hospital and on with his normal day today events. So please do not take things into your own hands. The other ways this could have been handled is that RPD could have been called or just talked to the person and let them know that you aware that they are there. I have personally been stopped and questioned by a resident while being in a neighborhood. This did not bother me as I welcomed someone being aware. So if you do not have positive proof of a crime being committed let RPD know. If they come upon the individual later, they may be able to do a stop on that information. Hello Shasta County. I know this is a hard time for alot of us. We have been unable to patrol in the evacuation areas for looters for safety reasons by law enforcement. We have had other country chapters visit here with donations as well as patrolling as our own members are busy as well. Thank you Elaizar, Yuba/Sutter, Sacramento, Modesto and other chapters that strive to make a difference.... The last two weeks Shasta County has been patrolling hotel parking lots. We have seen persons casing vehicles, open vehicles and spoke to a person behind a closed business. (He decided to leave) We are trying to make a difference here in our county. We are also accepting applications for membership. The more boots on the ground the bigger impact we can make for the better. If interested, please msg us here on this page.
