In certain areas of life there is such a thing as being too competent. When we get too good at something, we find ourselves lulled into autopilot mode, reinfo...rcing not just rigid behavior but also disengagement, lack of growth, and boredomin short, we fail to thrive. Instead, we need to keep pushing the boundaries, widening the circle outside our comfort zone despite the discomfort it causes.
When "let it go" isn't entirely possible, "hold it lightly" is a close second. This means not taking yourself or your experiences too seriously. It means lookin...g at your situation from a distance to try and take in the bigger picture. When you manage to step out and gain perspective, possibilities abound. See more
