@monroviapolicedepartment - It’s #WantedWednesday again at Monrovia PD, and after warning you all about serial trespasser Kris Kringle last week, we thought we would bring it back a little closer to home this time: Wanted Person: Brian Evan Heitman, DOB 01/09/89 Wanted For: Vehicle Burglary and Attempted Auto Theft... Monrovia Police Department Case Number 20-004259 In March of this year Monrovia Police Department officers responded to a report of a vehicle being ransacked and the steering column removed. The responding officers located and preserved evidence, which Detectives used to identify the suspect as Brian Even Heitman. He has a history of arrests for Auto Theft, amongst other things. He is currently wanted by the Monrovia Police Department for this crime, and has several other bench warrants outstanding as well. Heitman is known to frequent the areas of Monrovia, Duarte, and Azusa. If you know him or see him, please do not try to confront him. Contact the Monrovia Police Department at (626) 256-8000.

@monroviapolicedepartment - We are deeply saddened by the news of Ret. Chief Bill Tubbs' passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. Bill Tubbs was appointed as the Monrovia Chief of Police in 1979, and served in this position for ten years. He was a graduate of the FBI National Academy and came up through the ranks of our department. Under the guidance of Chief Tubbs, the department explored and adopted a number of new and innovative techniques for policing the community. He believed that the backbone of the department was the patrol force and emphasized the importance of the patrol officer in keeping the community safe and free from crime.
