[Repost from @sf_immigrants] - Read & share: #DACA, as it stands now from our partners @the_ilrc. Last week, a federal judge ordered the Department of Homeland Security to *fully restore* the original DACA program. In short, this means that United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) must now accept initial applications from eligible first-time applicants, continue accepting DACA renewals, process Advance Parole requests based on DACA’s original 2012 ter...ms, and extend previously granted DACA protections from one to two years. The ILRC will be sharing useful community tools for first-time applicants and much more in the coming weeks. Stay tuned! In the meantime, consider speaking with a trusted legal services provider to assess your case! Remember that, according to one recent analysis by @immigrantsrising, roughly 25% of DACA recipients screened had been shown to be eligible for some permanent immigration option they didn’t otherwise know about. To find a trusted legal services provider in your area visit the Immigration Advocates Network national directory via https://bit.ly/ianimmhelp. If you're in the Bay Area, check out immigrants.sfgov.org [LINK IN BIO] to find free DACA services. #daca #sfimmigrants #immigrants #sf #immigrants #sanfrancisco
