Be careful when getting social media / internet marketing help. Content and quality count more now than ever. Forget the quick ranking schemes, build quality content, link prudently, and post quality info consistently. That will serve you more than ranking schemes.
Have you noticed? Purchasing links and follows can be counter-productive. Let's discuss getting real customer posts that tag you. Much more powerful....call for more information
Too many companies buy into a posting service to keep their social media accounts current and active. In reality the generic posts scream 'generic posts', as in, some one is paying for some one else to post on their site to keep activity at a certain level. For example, I know of a local business, a restaurant, who has social media posts. The comments are so generic and seem blatantly scripted that I fear they trigger a flag to the social media site. .
SSL certificates for your website will be 'required' if you collect sensitive information: ermails, conduct transactions onsite, and/or have forms on it. Otherwise, Google advises that searchers using Chrome may get a warning that you site is not secure. For example, restaurant with an overlay reservation system where a window pops up collecting info from your website definitely should have an SSL certificate whereas a restaurant with a link that opens on the systems websi...te may not be required a certificate. what is unknown is how the public will react. No matter what you choose for your business, monitor click-throughs and conversions. See how your customers react. Also monitor your placement in Google searches as 'non-secure' sites may find themselves dropping. Bottom-line: invest in the certificate to avoid a dip in search rankings and customer conversions. Rankings in Google seem to be adjusting lately. It's not your imagination. It seems they are tweaking the algorithm so that local businesses don't get buried in back pages. Have you noticed?
Just a reminder. If your email address has the domain name of your business, be certain that is not the email of record for your domain registration and hosting. So sam@mybusinessname.... should not be where you get notification about hosting and domain registration expiring. If there is ever a hosting login issue, you won't be able to get the email that gets you back into the system. Instead, use your personal email and when you register opt for private registration or whois guard so the email address is not public. Otherwise regaining access can be very time-consuming and cumbersome--not what you want if your business website is down.
Did you realize that people who click on Google ads represent roughly 10% of the people searching for that product or service. What have you done to see that your website gets seen on the first page of search results? or in the Maps? Get your business found online, call me: 415-857-3663
How important is a Click-to-Call link? This is a bit old; project the numbers now! Read more here: https://www.thinkwithgoogle.com/research/click-to-call.html
Interesting perspective from last December particularly in light of the "Mobile Madness" created by Google's announcement. https://www.thinkwithgoogle.com//creating-moments-that-mat
Have you seen the uptick traffic in video marketing lately? Video has consistently had a higher consumption in marketing. Over the 12-18 months, it was an excellent way to get rankings. Google seemed to be rewarding YouTube videos, a form of quality content, with immediate rankings and bumped them more quickly as views increased. Now it seems that the quick-hit marketers have abused that and Google has again tweaked their algorithm. Thousands of views could be bought c...heaply on the internet. When this first happened, those videos got ranked quickly in a Google search. Now Google has wised up to the "unnatural" activity and is slower to reward that channel. Google always maintains that the goal is to bring quality content to the searchers. Marketers have always tried to determine what Google rewards and what it penalizes and take advantage of that "knowledge". Quality marketers both provide highly-relevant content and position it to maximize the rankings consistent within Google's standards.
