Last night, over 120 of our singers had the opportunity to sing together (online) for the first time in 4 weeks! It was so great seeing our members healthy and making music. This is becoming the new normal as we begin rolling out a rehearsal process online. It’s not perfect, but it’s keeping us engaged. Let us know how your chorus or performing arts ensembles are creatively staying engaged and connected. #shelterinplace #singingtogetheronline #Zoomchorus #SFChoral #Quarantinechoir #COVID-19chorus
Make a contribution to support SF Choral Society and DOUBLE your impact! https://mygoodness.benevity.org/communi/cause/840-943107344 Today, Benevity, the global leader in corporate social responsibility and employee engagement software, announced a 1:1 match of up to $300,000 via their campaign portal, "We are We," to help increase the impact of contributions to non-profit organizations. This is an incredible opportunity to help support organizations like ours, who are being hit hard due to major revenue losses from canceled concerts.
In light of the increased measures that are being recommended by the CA and SF Departments of Public Health due to the COVID-19 pandemic and with the uncertainty about when we can safely resume rehearsals, we are postponing indefinitely our upcoming spring concert program originally scheduled for April 18 and 19. As developments are rapidly changing we cannot yet provide information about when this concert will be rescheduled. Updates on this evolving situation will be posted here. Please take care of yourselves, and know that we’ll be looking forward to and planning for how we will all come back from this epic moment in our shared global history to pick up from where we’ve left off.
