Don't forget to renew your membership before February 1st! Join or renew at https://sfcamft.org/ and click log-in or sign up! Last year brought forth new circumstances for us as Marriage and Family Therapists to navigate professionally and personally. Our work is inherently challenging, sometimes isolating and also rewarding. Adapting to the new normal requires even more support, connection, and resources.... This year we are aiming to provide trainings and events tailored to respond to current events. Look forward to speakers addressing COVID-19 Response, Addiction and Recovery, Diversity, Suicide Assessment and Prevention, and more! The San Francisco Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (SFCAMFT) is YOUR local organization of therapists and affiliated professionals. We are committed to cultivating a community of support and knowledge to support the complex needs of our profession. Whether you’re a student, newly licensed or a seasoned veteran, you can benefit from the support and opportunities that SFCAMFT offers. Benefits of membership include: Regular meetings provide opportunities for training and networking, as well as CE credits. Bimonthly online newsletter featuring chapter news and professional articles. Our chapter's website (www.sfcamft.org) provides a link between the chapter and our community and contains important member resources, as well as the therapist directory, available to the general public. One of the most valuable benefits of the chapter is the listserv, an online resource to find referrals, groups, training opportunities, employment opportunities, office space and other practice-related issues. Our Slack platform for specialized topic conversations and to be in touch regularly with other members. The Mentor Program connects seasoned and new therapists to provide guidance and support to one another in a complex and developing profession. Monthly support groups for pre-licensed and newly licensed members. The Diversity Committee offers support and community to therapists of color and promotes diversity and social justice. Formal and informal networking opportunities, including a bimonthly happy hour and the monthly Hi! Tea. Volunteer opportunities are one of the most valuable and enriching aspects of SFCAMFT membership and provide a great opportunity for professional development and networking. Please note the following about membership: The membership year runs from January-December 2021. If you are a previous or current member, please renew your membership by February 1, 2021 in order to continue receiving the benefits of membership. You must be an active member of state CAMFT in order to join our chapter. Yearly fees are $75 for licensed professionals and $40 for students or associate licensed therapists. For more information about our chapter or if you have questions about membership, contact me at [email protected]
