Getting back to creating is not just a desire, it has been an essential need. I suppose the best comparisons are writers, painters, sculptors, chefs, etc...using our hands to convey what is possible and inviting. It is in the planning as well as the spontaneity. It is a part of my expression, like a voice needing to speak, but is so captivated that it becomes muted by the overwhelming senses surrounding me. .. .. ..... Soon, soon, I will. So grateful to every single person we have met and treasured along our journey. As much as it is wonderful to be hired with a strong sense of connection and belief in us,, we are so grateful for the extremely humbling moments as well.. These two met with me while going through law school and a job promotion. They declined to work with me because they didn't think I believed in myself enough to charge more for my services or that possibly I was going to give them service that... appeared "less than desired." They are the second couple that expressed that that same feeling. I was disappointed, more in myself, but it made me grateful for a perspective that I needed. Fast forward a year old two ahead and I was contacted by this incredible couple to coordinate their wedding, now parents of a darling little girl. Humbled and humbling, we both agreed that sometimes time and experience give us a different vantage point. I/we are beyond grateful, as always, for these moments that provide clarity and encourage growth. We celebrate so many reasons to be grateful, today and always. . . It most certainly is.... . . Gratitude is perhaps the best researched emotion out there, and it might just be the most powerful one as well.... . . The one we want to focus on is resilience. Resilience is our ability to bounce back and recover quickly from setbacks or stressful situations. Grateful people are able to see the bigger picture and remember the positive in their lives, and they seek out more social support. As a result, they are less likely to let bad events pull them into a downward spiral and more likely to grow in times of stress. In other words, gratitude makes us resilient. . .
