The SERC Zero Waste Membership Team and the Zero Waste Coalition have worked together to put together comprehensive graphics detailing the paths UC Berkeley’s trash, recycling, compost, and hazardous waste take from campus to respective facilities - and the communities the UCB waste at those facilities directly impacts. Click through to see maps of these pathways and learn more about where the campus community's goes.

November Elections are coming up real quick! Whether you're voting early by mail in ballot or voting at the polls on November 3rd, we wanted to keep you all informed on the different propositions on the ballot in California, and the presidential race this general election. SERC has created voter education guides that examine the environmental impact and relevancy of the different propositions, and lay out the environmental platforms of the presidential candidates. We've compi...led evidence from many sources, including Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN), Sierra Club, League of Women Voters Berkeley Albany Emeryville, and the California League of Conservation Voters. Please note that these pamphlets focus on environmental justice and do not provide a comprehensive overview of the entirety of a measure’s impact or candidates’ platform. We encourage you to pair our voter education with your own research and other sources on the specific issues of immigration, healthcare, taxes, etc to guide your voting process. We've developed some questions you could consider to help guide your voting process. What impact might this proposition/candidate have on marginalized communities? (Low income, BIPOC, Queer, Disabled, incarcerated, undocumented communities, etc) What is this candidate’s stance on climate change? Does this proposition/candidate line up with my values? Who has endorsed or funded this proposition/candidate? Thank you so much to SERC's Community Involvement Team for putting in the work and research to make this possible! Furthermore, we would like to share this voter guide created by the ASUC Vote Coalition which discusses the local Berkeley measures and propositions. Thank you ASUC Vote Coalition!: https://docs.google.com//1h2y0BdKmZV5gp6tco35M/mobilebasic There is a ballot drop off box located on campus between Sather Gate and the Architects & Engineers Building. There will be a polling place located on campus at MLK. We highly encourage everyone located in Berkeley to research where their local ballot drop off and polling locations are. This is an extremely dire election and we urge everyone who is able to to vote early and take the necessary time to review your vote is counted properly!
