It was reported this afternoon that two #OCFA handcrew members were critically injured fighting the #SilveradoFire in #OrangeCounty. My thoughts and prayers are with these two firefighters and their families. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as well. I also wanted to thank our #firefighters and all the men and women who are currently in the front line keeping our families safe.

Today is California Clean Air Day and my boys and I created more clean air in our community by walking to dinner instead of driving! Help us create more clean air by planting a tree, carpooling or walking instead of driving. Comment below how you celebrated California Clean Air Day.

Thank you Rossmoor Homeowners Association for hosting the RHA candidates forum and giving me the opportunity to speak before Rossmoor residents. While my oppone...nt felt it was not important for her to show up, I will always show up and always fight for Rossmoor residents. It was an honor to represent you when I was in the State Senate. One of the issues we worked together on was to fight against the expansion of the 405 that didn't include the sound walls. I plan to continue that fight to ensure the quality of life for our residents when I am elected to the Assembly.

A memory from 4 years ago. In the State Senate, I worked hard to make sure our nation's heroes had someone fighting for them. I look forward to getting back to Sacramento so I can support and author legislation on behalf of our veterans and military families once again.

One of my 3 jobs to help me pay for college while I was a student at UCI was waiting tables at a local resturant directly across from Disneyland. I am heartbroken to learn that 28,000 people will lose their jobs at Disney which doesn't account for the thousands of jobs around and near Disneyland that depends on Disneyland. It’s time for the Governor to reconsider his position on reopening California's theme parks. The Governor has allowed many indoor facilities to operate safely at reduced capacities indoors and has allowed them to also open outdoors for months with specific safety guidelines. The same can be done for outdoor facilities like Disneyland. #OpenDisneyland

Our efforts have paid off! Nail salon owners have taken every step to make sure their businesses are safe per the state guidelines to protect both their customers and employees and the state has finally recognized that. All nail salons can now operate indoors in California.
