We are with Kids Are 1st at the USCMC'S Kidz Health Fair. Running a distracted/impaired driving course. We are here 10 till 2pm.

More day 2 of AV Fair.

Didn't update Facebook last season. Who uses Facebook anymore? All the hip kids are on Instagram and Snapchat. Did we update those? It's a new season. New people. New school site. Time for a new social media push. We are back!... Some updates: 1. TPAA is dropping from 5 to 4 FTC teams this year and we are running 2 of them. Lots of new excited kids. Several with experience at Team 5012 Gryffingear's summer robotics workshop. Some siblings of alumni. Some friends. Alumni coming back to mentor (and one is going to run Norbots). 2. New team members are already getting into outreach! See the pics from the Antelope Valley Fair this weekend. 3. Season kickoff is September 9th. We will compete in league I, hosted at our school. 4. Parent meeting Thursday August 31st. An email will go out this weekend. Hope to keep more updates coming this year.

Sharing our robot with our school at the Welcome to the AV event. Two days until our second qualifier.

Our first qualifier was last Sunday at Monrovia. The team finished qualification rounds 4-1 (DQ'D one match because we couldn't get into the 18" cube). We were the captain of the 3rd alliance with Team 7553 Thavma and Team 7832 Gear Gurus. We lost in 3 matches during the semifinals. Our team placed for the Promote Award and won the Connect Award. We will be hosting the Aerospace Valley QT this Saturday with the other TPAA FTC teams. Come down to check it out.

Los Angeles FTC is looking for volunteers for it's Qualifying Tournaments. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact [email protected]. All skill levels needed! No experience is necessary. Just a desire to volunteer and help support STEM education. Here are the event dates:... Monrovia HS, Monrovia, December 5th & 6th The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, Palmdale, December 12th Palm Desert HS, Palm Desert, January 9th de Toledo HS, West Hills, January 18th & 19th West Valley HS, Hemet, January 23rd & 24th Perris HS, Perris, January 30th & 31st LA FTC Championships, February 27th The competitions run December through February.
