Seabiscuit Sportfishing Channel Islands

Had a fun fishing trip today fishing anacapa and Santa cruise islands, we looked for yellowtail and found a frenzied barracuda bite at the end of the day. We filled the bags with 7 keeper barracuda(released 30+) 8 sculpin, 180 rockfish, 8 sheepshead, 3 perch, 81 whitefish and 3 keeper calico bass(12 released). We’re chartered out for this coming weekend but keep an eye out for upcoming open party trips and come join us for some fun in the summer sun.

We started the day looking for gamefish and caught a leopard shark, then spent the day fishing for bottom fish and filled the bags with 3 sheepshead, 4 lingcod, 195 rockfish and 165 whitefish. At the end of the day we had a nice school of yellowtail boiling around the boat but no takers hopefully we can get some to bite on tomorrow’s trip.

We went out to San Nicolas island looking for gamefish and found 4 nice size halibut, 4 calico bass, 15 sheepshead, 77 ocean white fish, 6 lingcod and 148 rockfish for our 15 anglers. We’ve got some open spots Sunday filling fast fishing a full day trip and a lot of spots open for our full day trip on Monday. Hope to see you soon!

We made the best of our day after spending the morning looking for white sea bass and loosing a nice size white sea bass to a seal. we fished for bottom fish and filled the bags with 225 rockfish, 9 lingcod, 55 ocean whitefish, and 9 sheepshead. At the end of the day we fished an area known for halibut but had no luck, keep an eye out for our open party trips and come join us for some fun at the beautiful Channel Islands.

We had a great trip today and caught limits of White Sea bass (72) for our 24 passengers with one 43 lb model, as well as 180 rockfish, 18 whitefish, 3 sheep head, 1 cabezon and 8 ling cod! We had a good day on the Seabiscuit and landed 5 White Sea bass, 1 soupfin shark, 1 sheepshead, 35 ocean white fish, 1 rock sole, 11 lingcod, and 230 rockfish. We have plenty of open spots next week and the sea bass are still biting, so come join us for some fun in the sun!
