SDSU Best Buddies

Huge congrats to our past Best Buddies President and B3 Coffee Director, Julia Moluf! She has officially accepted her DREAM job as Residential Manager for the new Best Buddies Living property in Washington, D.C.! Best Buddies Living Program fosters an integrated experience for people with and without IDD to become active, contributing citizens who live independently in a dynamic environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. We are so proud of you Julia and can’t wait to see everything you accomplish!

Best Buddies at SDSU is an organization that values the importance of inclusion, which is why we find it necessary to take a stand against the hatred and racism that is being expressed throughout our country to the Black community. We want to express our support for the individuals and communities directly affected by these injustices. We ask our members in Best Buddies to reach out to one another and support those who are hurting. Best Buddies educates and empowers people ...with and without intellectual and developmental disabilites, to be leaders, public speakers and advocates. We want to use this platform as a way to promote inclusivity and share ways you can help: If you can, donate to organizations that are combatting these injustices, share this post, and learn more about institutional racism and how it affects the Black community. Friday Activity

In coherence with SDSU, our officer board has made the executive decision to end our weekly in person meetings for the rest of the semester. We are deeply saddened by this and will miss seeing everyone’s faces every Wednesday. We will continue to update everyone through our social media and emailing list, so keep an eye out. Starting tomorrow, all Best Buddies Meetings will be cancelled until further notice due to SDSU moving to online courses and looking out for the health of our members. We will share any updates we receive through this account and through email. Please stay safe and healthy.

Our Spread the Word to End the Word Campaign was amazing!! This year, we had 323 people pledge to end the r word! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, we couldn’t do it without you. We hope you continue to spread the word about inclusion #SDSUBestBuddies
