Harvest Paid Intern Position Intern needed for upcoming harvest! With harvest about two weeks away, we are looking for some help over the next several months (September to mid-November). Learn more about the winemaking process and have several months in Napa in a furnished apartment on the property. This is a paid position. Because of the travel and visa restrictions, the candidate must be based in the US. Description ... Truchard Vineyards is looking for a cellar intern for this year’s harvest. The intern would be part of a small team that works with over 12 different grape varieties from Pinot Noir to Petit Verdot. It is an amazing learning experience because of the size of the estate and the hands-on nature of the work. The intern would be involved in every process of the harvest winemaking experience. Candidate responsibilities and abilities Need to lift 60 pounds Pumping over and punching down fermentation tanks Moving, cleaning and filling barrels Based on Experience Driving forklift Work week approximate 60 hours/week with some 12-hour days Provided Compensation based on experience One bedroom studio (with kitchen and bath) on property for duration of harvest Candidate needs to have transportation to winery about 1 mile away and be able to start work in Napa on September 1st.
