Dental issues in adults are rarely met with glee. Dental issues in children are even more complicated because the makeup of a child’s teeth is different than that of an adult’s teeth. Further, children are not as educated on proper oral hygiene and it can often be a battle to get a young child to practice daily oral hygiene.

Life can be undoubtedly stressful for parents. The questions, concerns, and worries that accompany the act of raising children seem to be never-ending. Further, within every subset of parenting and within every situation that arises, there are numerous ways to deal with that issue. It can difficult to sort through hearsay and anecdotes when attempting to find an answer to a simple question.

Excellent review by Dana Clemente, via Google We had gone to a previous dentist and didn’t receive too much guidance or info when it comes to toddler dental care. Also was not at all kid friendly. I switched to San Diego Children’s Dentistry and I’m glad I did. The office was clean and so kid friendly. Dr. Frandsen was so friendly and informative. He staff was so kind as well. He provided great tips to tackle toddler tooth brushing. Also gave great tricks to wean our daughter off her pacifier. I loved the experience and I’m definitely going back. Even my daughter agreed to liking it :)

Children aren’t the best at maintaining hygiene. When there’s so much to learn and explore, who can blame them for wanting to forego the dull, daily routine of washing? Of course, as a parent, you understand the importance of making sure kids bathe and brush their teeth regularly.

Excellent review by Forrest Smith, via Google I think most kids are pretty scared when going to see a dentist and my 3 daughters were no different. But after going to see Dr. Frandsen and the rest of the staff at San Diego Children's Dentistry, they are wondering when they can go back. Easy, gentle, comfortable and clean. Thanks for making going to the dentist an easy experience! Now, if only I could start using a pediatric dentist, maybe I would whine less. :-)

Oral hygiene is important. And perhaps more so for children, as oral health plays a role in development in addition to health and wellness. Most parents are quick to schedule pediatrician visits, but dentist visits are less likely. The last couple of decades have seen a rise in tooth decay among young children, according to a 2014 AAPD report.
