SCU Women & Law 05.11.2020

SCU Law's Women and Law Association, Black Law Student Association, and ACLU NorCal Chapters are proud to host a panel focusing on the Inequality of the 19th Amendment which overwhelmingly enabled white women to vote while perpetuating the disenfranchisement of women from BIPOC communities. This panel is the second part of W&L, BLSA, and ACLU’s Accessing the Vote series. The panel will take place TOMORROW October 29th from 12-1 pm PST. Our amazing panelists will discuss: 1. ...The history of the 19th Amendment and the efforts of women suffragists of color 2. The persisting existence and impact of racial inequality in voting in today's political climate 3. The possible impacts of this election on immigrant communities 4.
