UPDATE: Sign up as a volunteer for the SC Underwater Pilot when you are in the online system at the JEP house. Also, the deadline for signing up has been extended to TUESDAY!! Hello all! I am excited to announce that SC Underwater will once again be participating in JEP (Joint Educational Project) this semester. If you are interested in helping teach weekly, hour-long marine science lessons in local schools, make your way over to the JEP house (on 34th Street across from Taper Hall) by Tuesday September 10th! Please feel free to message me with any questions.

Just a friendly reminder that our yearly wrap-up Beers and Marine Trivia is tomorrow at 2813 Menlo Ave!! We have some yum beverages for all you young ocean enthusiasts, and can't wait for some healthy competition! There will be prizes for the winning team, and we can assure you that it is not solely in the form of an ice ;P. What to bring: your own cup (reduction is key people! Every day is Earth Day), middle-school level marine knowledge, BYO food and drink is encouraged... What not to bring: bad vibes, a poor attitude, fish sticks, sushi, tuna tartar, etc.

Hello ocean enthusiasts! I am excited to announce that we will be teaching a JEP course this semester. If you are passionate about marine science (no prior knowledge required) and want to share that with children in local schools, head over to the JEP House to sign up for the SC Underwater course. The deadline is NEXT FRIDAY (24 Jan). Email [email protected] or send us a message on Facebook with any questions!! This course aims to expose students to our world’s marine environment. Through hands-on activities, we will explore topics ranging from wildlife and their ecosystems to our impact on the oceans.

Every semester USC's underwater club takes the trek up to Ventura to dive with Spectre. We spend the day around the Channel Islands, diving pristine sites, enjoying brownie sundaes, and hanging with local marine life!
