SCUMBATs Finish 4 DTMs in 8 months! Santa Clara University MBA Toastmasters Josephine Phua, Karen Cornwell, Naveendra Tiwari, and Lisa Stapleton (clockwise) received their Distinguished Toastmaster awards between November and June. Congratulations and thanks to the whole club for supporting this AMAZING accomplishment. In 8 months, SCUMBATs tripled the number of DTMs we'd achieved in the 18 years the club has existed. (This award takes a theoretical minimum of a year to earn,... and most people take 4-5 years to finish it.) We have a sense of humor about our SCUMBATs name, but we're dead serious about public speaking, presentations, and leadership. (We're also very happy to help absolute beginners.)
