Applications Open for the Race To Zero Youth Fellowship Fellows will join the High Level Climate Champions Team for a ten month fellowship focused within the following sectors - food and agriculture, energy and climate resilience. The fellowship will include modules on leadership development, engagement with business, NGO and/or policy leaders, mobilization and outreach in broader networks, and a capstone project. The fellows will work closely with the sector leads during this fellowship and will be required to commit up to 10 hours per week. Fellows will receive a small stipend. This year’s Global Engagement Photo Contest will be taking place during International Education Week and will involve a mashup theme of Throwback Thursday: Together Around the World. This year we’ve also added a category for faculty and staff to celebrate global diversity by participating in the contest as well. We would like to invite all of you to submit photos that portray your perception of our globally diverse SCU community. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Octobe...r 30. Submit your photos here. Eligibility and Submission Rules: Photos taken during all SCU programs abroad during any year are eligible. Prior to submission, please review Global Engagement’s Photo Contest Criteria and Considerations PDF attached to this email or on our website. All photos must be submitted here by Friday, October 30th. Each contestant may submit a maximum of 5 photos. All photos must be at least 3,000 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 3,000 pixels tall (if a vertical image). Voting: Our Global Engagement Photo Contest voting party will take place virtually again this year. 20 semi-finalists will move forward to be voted on by the campus community (10 faculty and staff photos and 20 student photos). Online voting will take place leading up to and during International Education Week, November 10 - 17 and announced on Thursday, November 19. All students, staff, and faculty will be invited to vote for their favorite global photos online. Winners: Selected finalists will be announced and displayed on the Global Engagement website during this time. Additionally, photographs will be featured on Global Engagement’s social media accounts. The International Bar Association's annual conference will be held virtually on November 2nd to November 27th. The annual conference has a registration fee in order to access all 250+ sessions but will also feature more than 50 Open Access Sessions that both academics and law students may attend for free, that is, without registering for the conference. Joining the de Saisset Museum in 2016, Lauren Baines is responsible for developing the museum's exhibitions and planning related interpretation, integrated education opportunities, and public programs. She is also responsible for the museum's marketing, promotion, and outreach and works to build collaborations with University and external partners. Lauren holds an M.F.A. from Mills College in Choreography/Dance and B.A. and B.S. degrees from Santa Clara University, triple majoring in Art History, Theatre Arts (Dance Emphasis), and Psychology.
