BREAKING NEWS: December 30 Deadline Extension Covered California is extending the deadline for January coverage. Consumers who enroll by 11:59 p.m. PST on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, and pay their first bill will have coverage effective January 1, 2021. The Open Enrollment period will run through January 31, 2021, but consumers enrolling on or after December 31, 2020, or not paying their first bill timely will receive coverage effective February 1, 2021. Plan selections for active renewals must be made by December 18, 2020 to change coverage starting January 1, 2020. You may see or hear ads this weekend mentioning December 15 as the last day to enroll for January 1 coverage, but that deadline has been extended to December 30.

For those of you enrolled on a health insurance plan/dental plan through Covered CA, if you do not make your payment by the due date stated on your bill, the start date for your health coverage may be at risk. Payments are made the month prior to the month of coverage. Payment must be sent directly to your health insurance company. Here is a link on how to pay:
