Happy 4th of July! Here is a prayer for you to pray on this special day: On this Independence Day I am reminded of all those who have sacrificed for my freedom, following the example of your Son, Jesus Christ. Let me not take my freedom, both physical and spiritual, for granted. May I always remember that my freedom was purchases with a very high price. My freedom cost others their very lives. Lord, today, bless those who have served and continue to give their lives for my f...reedom. With favor and bounty meet their needs and watch over their families. Help me to live my life in a way that glorifies you, Lord. Give me the strength to be a blessing in someone else's life today, and grant me the opportunity to lead others into the freedom that can be found in knowing Christ. Amen

(Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi,1181-1226 AD) When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said, Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.... He stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, I will do it. Be made clean. His leprosy was cleansed immediately. Then Jesus said to him, See that you tell no one, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them. **This Peace Walk is not affiliated with a Black Lives Matter chapter. This is put on by the Diocese of San Bernardino. The phrase used in the graphic is meant to express the sentiment of solidarity. Join the Office of Ministry to Catholics of African Descent in a Peace Walk: Catholics Against Racism on Saturday, June 20th at 1:00 pm. The Peace Walk includes praying the Rosary to fight racism, racial inequalities, and discrimination, to promote human dignity as all Black Lives Matter. *Social distancing will be observed. You must bring your mask to participate.*
Exited to see you all in our sessions this month! For our next session we would like to specially invite you to bring a friend to join in the discussion and fellowship!
Lord Jesus, faith in your word is the way to wisdom, and to ponder your divine plan is to grow in the truth. Open my eyes to your deeds, and my ears to the sound of your call, that I may understand your will for my life and live according to it. Amen Today’s Daily prayer. We hope to be posting more of these in the future, along with reflections and bible verses.
