We should be mindful that there may be a surge of COVID cases in 2-3 weeks with the recent protests and riots. Continue to observe social distancing and to continue to wear mask. Last week's Town Hall with Dr. Ru, oncologist was amazing. Plenty of great questions from the attendees. This week we have our favorite guest speaker, Diana Lipson Burge , nutritionist who will return to the townhall Friday 12 pm.

so excited w/ our Friday's TownHall meeting: Dr. Chhabra, cardiologist will illuminate us with the cardiovascular preventative measures. Nina Paul will give us a 20-30min. mindfulness session to end the month with peace and good mental health.

UPs And Downs We likely will see some positive and negative outcomes with the COVID 19 treatments and vaccines. Recently, with the set back in the Oxford vaccine and the positive result in the Moderna vaccine. One must beware the promotional CEO of Moderna. Understand that it is an extremely small sample size of patient: 8 people only that developed the antibody after the vaccine... still that's great news. Keep positive thoughts!

The zoom town hall every Friday has been going great. This Friday, we have Dr. Sattler, Gastroenterologist. It should be very informative. Looking forward to see everyone!

Start wearing masks. Let’s not wait until CDC finally decided to change it’s recommendations. It may provide some protection provided that we really try not to touch /adjust our masks once worn. Most importantly, wearing it does not mean we can decrease the social distancing practice that we all should be practicing. It simply may decrease transmission when you do venture to the stores or to work.

Interestingly and sadly also hospitals‘ census in Southbay are down currently as people are staying away from the hospitals and elective surgeries are delayed. Nursing staffs are deeply affected emotionally as they see their colleagues struggling and heroically continue to help the tsunami of COVID 19 patients coming in. They are expecting this wave of very sick patients will be coming. Our nurses and doctors need all our help very soon. Please lend a hand to them. They are all still working, worrying about contracting COVID 19 so you can stay home and healthy.
