With the doubling of the infection rate in California, did your HOA decide to close the pool when the new of bars, zoos, movie theaters and winneries. What did your risk assessment of your pool or communal gym identify? And how are you managing entry to the communal facilities?
How do you help your residents to remain vigilant yet calm? Do you have a way of recording whether anyone in your community has become unwell with COVID-19? What are your procedures if you are made aware that your community maybe at risk?
Insurance is all about evaluating risks, so we know a thing or two about them. But you don't need to be in insurance to know that it's not worth the risk! Make it clear to your residents that their obligations are just as vital as the HOAs. If they care about the community they live in, their family and friends then they need to observe the mask requirements. Stay healthy and safe!
Would buying masks in bulk work for your community/HOA and having masks available for residents to purchase from a central area? Cover up! Remind your residents of their duty to wear a mask. You should also make sure that any contractors on site are wearing the appropriate coverings to adhere to safety requirements. Staying safe during this pandemic
Ignore the advice and host a party your residents risk being a super spreader. No one likes being the party pooper but right now needs must. And they are absolute needs. Remind your residents with a quick message that their actions can have a real impact on lives. Best to observe caution and save lives. ... The lockdown may have eased too early but certainly the infection rate has soared significantly (double) since June, leading to indoor dining to be halted. So now more than ever it is vital that your community observe the rules. Staying safe can also save lives.

So what are the rules now and with the infection rate rising, what should communities be doing? Clearly continuing to observe social distancing is still important. Residents should consider the use of masks and gloves but remember to discard them appropriately. HOAs need to ensure that they are maintaining continuous cleaning of areas and checking with the attorney to ensure that they are fulfilling their legal obligations.
