Follow the SIGNS to Avenida Rosa and Avenida Victoria... The 17th Annual San Clemente 4th of July Office Chair Downhill Derby IS ON! Practice Runs: 9:00 AM... First Race: 10:00 AM. ______________________________ We urge all competitors to dress inappropriately; but, to still wear a helmet and proper shoes [especially if your office chair doesn't have brakes]. While water balloons are welcomed, please only throw water balloons at other spectators. The racers have repeatedly asked that you not throw water balloons at them during the race. Many racers will not be returning to the track this year because of being hit by water balloons while racing. Please respect the racers and the race, and save your water balloons for the crowds, the garage rooftop, Bailey and Stephanie's house guests, and Larry. Also, please don't throw water balloons at food delivery drivers. These guys and gals are working hard to get us our food on a holiday; plus, those of us that live along the race course don't want DoorDash to boycott or neighborhood. Adults: Remember that there may be young children in attendance. Parents: Remember that this is a non-sanctioned, open to the public, holiday block party celebration with little to no discretion. Dog Owners: For the safety of your dog, and the racers, please keep your dogs ON leash and OFF the race course at all times. Loose dogs will be captured and then given to a caring family in Bakersfield.
