What is motion preservation spine surgery? Motion Preservation Spine Surgery (MPSS) is a surgical technique performed by Dr. Stern & Dr. Berman that allows patients to avoid spinal fusions. In its simplest form, MPSS includes micro decompression techniques that maximize the preservation of spinal structures compared with traditional open surgeries. Sciatica is a common type of pain affecting the sciatic nerve, a large nerve extending from the lower back down the back of each leg. Common symptoms of sciatica include: Lower back pain...
