Just wanted to get a post up to let everybody know what our hours are for Xmas Eve and Xmas since we have been getting a lot of inquiries. The kitchen will be taking orders from 11 to 4 on Xmas Eve and the bar will be open from 11 to 6. We will be closed on Xmas. Happy holidays from everyone here at Schooner's

We just finished fermenting Schooner's 666th batch of beer and put it on tap today! Any guess what beer it was? It had to be Ol Diablo of course! It's the first time Ol Diablo has been available for several years and I am stoked to release it once again. At 12.1% alcohol this beer packs a major punch!

Here's a picture of Craig doing his thing at the tap takeover at Beer Baron in Livermore. I had a great time getting to know the owner and his excellent and knowledgeable staff. It was a pleasure interacting with their customers and talking to them about our beer. Beer Baron is a great place to check out if you are ever in the Livermore area. We are very proud to have our beer poured there. A Schooner's shout-out goes to Mike for providing us with some amazing rare beers to sample.

Schooner's Tap Take Over today at Beer Baron in Livermore. It will be my first Tap Take Over as an owner of Schooner's so I'm pretty excited. Craig usually goes by himself, but this time I thought I'd give him some backup. Schooner's presence in the area is growing nicely and looks like we will be doing more and more tap takeovers. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

We want to invite everybody down to Schooner’s this Thursday for Thanksgiving. We will be open starting at 11am and will be open as long as people are here. We will be serving traditional Thanksgiving dinner, buffet style, and hope to see you there. Gobble Gobble.

I want to thank everyone for coming to Schooner’s for our Grand Re-Opening party. It was stressful, but we regard it as a resounding success and we hope you will continue to support Schooner’s in the future. Tell your friends that Schooner’s is back! We have come quite a long way in the past six months and are proud to be part of Schooner’s renaissance. We’ll continue to improve. It wouldn’t be possible without you our community will ultimately determine how we evolve.... Special thanks go out to Lupe and Schooner’s staff for keeping up with the evening, and to Jose and his crew who have collectively done a fantastic job improving food quality and consistency. We also have to thank Craig, our Brew Master, for the many hats he wears here at Schooner’s. His help last night was beyond the call of duty. It included running food, bussing, and giving brewery tours. And we must, of course, recognize Shawn, Schooner’s original owner. He helped out big time Saturday and has been invaluable in Schooner’s turnaround. We thank OPM for their music, and for really getting the party rocking. And I must thank my parents: Dave, my father and business partner who shares the same view of where we want to take Schooner’s (even if we don’t always agree on how to get there :)); and my mother who has been enthusiastic, supportive, and is responsible for many of the new dishes on the menu.
