Rainy day repairs. We are taking extra precautions like changing gloves for every car. We are wiping down your steering wheel, shifter, door handle and key before you pick up your car. Hang in there!!!!

The center-lock wheels on certain Porsche GT and Turbo/GTS models require periodic maintenance and regular inspectionsotherwise it can lead to a costly and/or dangerous situation! The spring-loaded locking devices of this 20K-mile 2015 991 GT3 were rusted into the hubs and required a small slide hammer to remove them (they should pull out by hand). This was likely due to driving without the center caps. It is important to ensure that the spring-loaded locking devices pop a...ll they way out after final torquing of the wheel bolts-the first picture shows one of the original locking devices which could not be made to pop out due to corrosion. These locking devices ensure that the central wheel bolt will not loosen any more if the bolt somehow is not sufficiently torqued (which should never happen!). For this car, the locking devices were all replaced, the hubs were cleaned out, and the central bolts were cleaned and lubricated, drive lug torque checked and the bolts were torqued to 600 nm or 444 lb-ft! Now the car is ready to safely hit the road and track!
