Schaaf & Wheeler 03.07.2021

Dan Schaaf and Caitlin Gilmore of Schaaf & Wheeler are working with the City of Livermore to test deployment of a 30-foot panel of the Watergate flood barrier at Livermore Municipal Airport. The City is evaluating Factory Manual (FM) approved dry floodproofing products that could protect airport structures against overbank flooding from the adjacent Arroyo las Positas. They tested the panel for weight, maneuverability, and geometry -- all of which inform design, deployment and device storage. City of Livermore employees, including Sheetal Parmar and Livermore Senior Civil Engineer Pamela Lung, were also on hand for the test.
