One Design Saturday is coming up. August 7th, 1 pm. At least five starts. Might have to limit the entries in one class to 20, we will see. This is also the second day of the C15 Nationals. The club is looking for members to volunteer their boat for Race Committee, one or more days. Link to event on Regatta Network... https://www.regattanetwork.com/event/22872

We had 11 boats racing in some very interesting conditions. Thanks to PMYC for great hospitality.

18 boats racing tonight! 8 C15s. These are preliminary results. I have questions about race one and two. Waiting to hear back from the racers. Thanks to Vice Commodore Jay Gross, who drove in from Santa Clarita to help. I think the 90 second rolling start worked well. ... Bruce

The club has a large collection of Yacht Club Burgees. Most have been identified. Four have not. #vexillology Here is one. Any guesses?

We had 12 boats out, and that does not count John Richardson in a practice sail with new crew, nor the lone Snipe that made one start. A big part of the turn out is the Laser fleet this year. Extremely close racing in the C15 Fleet, 3 points separating first from last.

Does this bring back memories?

14 boats tonight! Not all 14 raced all five races but 14 boats never-the-less. Thanks to Jim Ach for his help. Only two snipes racing, next week we will have a snipe flag to signal their start. Only two but the racing was very close between the two. The laser fleet has a few entries and a few boats showed up, I suspect they are not all using the sail numbers they registered under. Anyway, no big deal.

One more shot from the Ensenada race. Pyewacket decided they liked our line and came for a drive by two hours into our race.

SCCYC represented well at the 2021 Newport to Ensenada race. Team Runaway taking first in Cruising B and first in Cruising overall. New trophies are coming back to the club!!

N2E. Runaway is about 8 miles from the finish. Moving at 5 knots. Still first in her class. Was leading since the start. Congrats to Thomas and the Kitchens. https://nosa.org/

Great to be on the water especially if you get a good critter sighting.
