I'm vaccinated...now what? Earlier this month, the CDC released its first set of recommendations for those that've been fully vaccinated. They outlined important reminders for all of us. Please read and share the following for your own safety, and the protection of others. Remember, with 2/3 vaccines offered domestically, you will need to wait 2 weeks after your first shot before you build any immunity, and 2 weeks after your second shot before you can resume normal activity.... If you add the extra 2 weeks before and after the first 2 and second 2 weeks, you are looking at a total of 2 months before you can safely say you are vaccinated. Once you are, in fact, "fully vaccinated" you must stay vigilant, especially while new strains are still being identified. Current guidelines for those that are vaccinated say it is safe to gather indoors without a mask, with people who have or haven't been vaccinated themselves. But nothing is foolproof. It's still recommended you avoid travel, crowds, and poorly ventilated areas. Also, you should still wear a mask anytime you are in public, Why? Because even if you are fully vaccinated, you can still spread the virus. Not to mention, no vaccine has been identified as 100% effective in preventing contraction.
