#Repost September 12th is National Policewoman’s Day, and we’re proud to honor our San Bernardino County law enforcement officers. On this day in 1910, LAPD Officer Alice Stebbins Wells became America’s first female police officer with arrest powers. After her appointment, women were soon hired in other cities throughout the United States. Today, the women serving in law enforcement in the Inland Empire are leaders, mentors, and role models for many to follow. On behalf of the SBCUSD Police Department, we thank you for your service and leadership #WomenInLawEnforcement #WeThankYou
