Good morning, everyone! Another toasty day is expected in the inland empire. Air quality is still poor as well due to the 4th of July.
Evacuation Info Wildfires, floods or other natural disasters can result in an evacuation warning, order or shelter in place to San Bernardino County residents o...r visitors. A vital component is understanding common terminology when given an Evacuation Warning or Evacuation Order. As of a result of the 2017 & 2018 wildfires, the State of California & local governments worked together to establish standard terminology that will be used throughout California. California Standard Statewide Evacuation Terminology Evacuation Order: Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access. Evacuation Warning: Potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now. Shelter in Place: Go indoors. Shut and lock doors and windows. Prepare to self-sustain until further notice and/or contacted by emergency personnel for additional direction. Evacuation Order(s) Lifted: The formal announcement of lifting evacuations in an area currently under evacuation. When to Evacuate Leave as soon as evacuation is recommended by fire officials to avoid being caught in fire, smoke or road congestion. Don’t wait to be ordered by authorities to leave. Evacuating the forest fire area early also helps firefighters keep roads clear of congestion and lets them move more freely to do their job. In an intense wildfire, they will not have time to knock on every door. If you are advised to leave, don’t hesitate! 1) Officials will determine the areas to be evacuated and escape routes to use depending upon the fire’s location, behavior, winds, terrain, etc. 2) Law enforcement agencies are typically responsible for enforcing an evacuation order. Follow their directions promptly. 3) You will be advised of potential evacuations as early as possible. You must take the initiative to stay informed and aware. Listen to your radio/TV for announcements from law enforcement and emergency personnel. 4) You may be directed to temporary assembly areas to await transfer to a safe location. Clever, the outside, online distance learning system used by SBCUSD teachers and students, is experiencing sign- on issues this Thursday morning. This may be pr...eventing some students and teachers from participating in distance learning. Clever is fixing the issue, but we don’t know when access will be restored. This glitch is also impacting other school districts around the state.

In light of dramatically increasing COVID cases in our region as well as the Governor's recent stay-at-home order, we are temporarily suspending in person sport...s conditioning. While we were looking forward to moving through the phases of our Return to Athletics Plan, this decision is made with an abundance of caution in order to keep our students, our team, and their families safe. We will revisit this decision when we return from winter break in January.
.@Cal_OES will issue region-wide emergency alerts at noon Tuesday, asking residents to stay home except for essential activities. The alert will be sent via text message through the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) system across Southern California
We know that the power can go out at any time for any reason, from wind to a scheduled service outage. Be prepared for the unexpected by making sure your child’s device and hotspot are fully charged at all times. That way if the power goes out, your child can still attend virtual classes.

These nifty sprayers are one way SBCUSD plans to disinfect schoo...ls when our campuses are safe to reopen. These sprayers can clean large areas more thoroughly and in less time since the cleaning product is electrically charged as it passes through the sprayer. #ReadySBCUSD #SafeSchools See more
