We lost our dear friend and co-worker 5 Years ago. Rest easy Ron, We miss you! In Loving Memory of Ron Reed November, 17th, 1960 ~ August 18, 2011 Ron, "Ronbo!" you will be sorely missed by many!... Ronald "Ronbo" Scott Reed, passed away at the age of 50, on August 18, 2011, at his father's home in Phelan, Ca, after a valiant battle for three and a half years with fire service related renal cell carcinoma. Though missed, all his loved ones are thankful Ron is now pain free and in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, whom Ron put his faith and trust in every day. Ron was born on November 17, 1960, in Pasadena, Ca, as the youngest sibling of three boys. Ron grew up in Orange County, until 1974, when he moved with his family to the High Desert. Ron attended Victor Valley College's Fire Academy which lead to 26 years of outstanding dedication and love for his job. His career began with the Victorville City Fire Department, as a paid-call Firefighter, and ending as an Engineer with the San Bernardino County Fire Department in the Mountain Division, Lake Arrowhead, CA. Ron was highly respected and loved by both his blood family, and fellow fire family, and was seen as a true hero to all who came to know him. Ron was unequaled in friendship, love, and devotion to his blood and fire family. In his spare time, Ron thoroughly enjoyed spending his time with his family, hunting, surfing, camping, fishing, barbecuing, playing the guitar, watching and supporting his favorite sports teams (LA Kings, LA Dodgers, SD Chargers), and was the most happy when spending time with his three beautiful daughters. Ron was a very proud father of three girls, Abigail Reed, 10, Raylynn Reed, 10, and Karlie Reed, 8 and enjoyed every second he got to spend with them. Ron was also survived by His father David Reed; brothers, Randall Reed, Richard Reed; Sister-in law, Julie Reed; Nephews, Ryan Reed, Austin Reed; Niece, Bethany Reed; and His fellow Fire family. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Reed who passed away in June 2007. Ron is viewed as a true warrior and hero to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by the many lives who he touched. He was a true down to earth and laid back man who lived by his view and saying that, "The greatest gift is love". We will celebrate and honor Ron's life on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at High Desert Church in Victorville, CA. We would like to thank all of the San Bernardino County Fire Department for all your love and support for Ron and his entire family through this time, it is something that can never be repaid. Services for Ron will begin on August 31st with a viewing and will be completed on September 1st with his memorial and grave side services.

Yesterday SBCoFFA members pulled a plane for a great cause! 17 SBCoFFA Members and 3 FDNY members pulled a 116,000 lb plane vs our San Bernardino Sheriff & San Bernardino PD brothers and sisters. Our members were pulling to benefit our fallen San Bernardino City Brother John Ruppert, who tragically passed away earlier this year. Great event, even though our Police brothers & sister pulled theirs quicker. Thanks for the support Supervisor Ramos, Assistant Chief John Chamberlin, and all of our families for coming out.
