Twice a year, residents can Recology at (831) 636-7500 to schedule a FREE curbside pick up for items that are no longer wanted or needed - perfect for those spring cleanings!

Our staff found this pile of used batteries down at the San Benito Riverbed batteries are hazardous waste materials and is a fire hazard. To properly dispose of them, you may simply put your used batteries in a zip lock, close the bag, and then place on top of your Recology curbside recycle cart on your next collection day. Electronic Waste also known as E-Waste grew by 38% in 2020, but less than 20% is recycled. Make sure you are recycling your E-Waste by dropping them off to the John Smith Rd. Landfill
