Firefighters are required to test all of the hose on each fire engine every year. Each shift is assigned a size hose and the work load rotates annually. This year C shift was assigned to test all of the 2 1/2 hose. Each fire engine for Santa Barbara Has 1200 feet of 2 1/2 hose. Once tested it is marked, reloaded and the test results are entered into the computer. This load was tested by 75C today. Your Santa Barbara City Firefighters are again supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. This year the firefighters have a new t-shirt design to wear in addition to the all pink shirt previously worn. Thanks to the committee members that created the new design and secured department approval for duty wear.

PRE COVID a few years ago a training opportunity presented itself. The flag pole halyard had failed and needed replacing at the Santa Barbara Airport. Truck 1 came out and got the Flag flying again. Special request for truck pics.
