SBC Health Challenge

Second Baptist Church has accepted the challenge sponsored by the AHA (American Health Association) and WW (Weight Watchers Re-imagined). The challenge has been... accepted by Black Churches in 6 cities Nationwide. They are New York, NY; Washington DC; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA. This is a 12 week program to measure health Stats for the church's congregation. The church with the most improvements will win the challenge. See more

Dr. Lauren Walton will have a Mental Health teleconference on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at 7pm 8pm. Dr. Walton is an Addiction Psychiatrist currently in practice with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. Dr. Walton is Board Certified by both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Addictive Medicine. Dr. Walton is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2005 Physicians’ Choice Award for excellence in service from her peers at Kaiser Permanente. She was named one of America’s Top Psychiatrists from the Consumers’ Research Council of America in 2002, 2003 and again in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2012, Dr. Walton was the recipient of the Physicians’ Exceptional Contribution Award, the highest award bestowed upon Kaiser Permanente Physicians.
