Consider how spectacular Trump is. I am in awe of him. NYT tax story reveals almost supernatural ability to escape financial ruin over and over again through au...dacious manipulations. Times says he is a terrible businessman (having lost hundreds of millions of dollars) but I see the opposite: how clever, how daring, to be able to buy fabulous properties all over the world, lavish money on them, and get (in effect) the US government to finance this! Then as this scheme begins to flounder, to become a TV star to keep things afloat, and when that dries up to run for President to gin up revenue! (possibly really believing you can do the best job ever!)... and win! Then as President to do what no one has ever even attempted -- to defy all canons of good sense and taste, not to mention the FBI, CIA, the military, congress, the medical and scientific establishments -- and go it alone, shooting from the hip, managing your own path according to the dictates of your imagination and intuition, despite all advice to the contrary. And now, to (apparently) flame out so spectacularly. It's a story like no other. I believe that the great Age of the Hero is over and we are entering the Age of Caring-- we have to. And that the story of Donald Trump, so full of passion and daring (and so frightening!), is a fitting final chapter. See more
