Me Too. Movement - #metoo shared an important statement on the news that Bill Cosby's sexual assault conviction had been overturned: https://bit.ly/2TveJZv We s...tand with survivors at this difficult time when accountability seems out of reach. With its deep inequities, the criminal legal system continues to replicate violence by aiding in the evasion of accountability that actually prevents future harm. It often favors those with resources and proximity to powerinstead of survivors who deserve healing and justice. We join in solidarity with survivors and organizations working toward a vision that centers survivors: ValorUS, Strong Hearted Native Women's Coalition, Inc., Me Too. Movement - #metoo, and many more. See more

Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, California 1st Surgeon General, explains how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) have real effects on the development of the brain. ACEs can include experiencing violence, abuse, neglect, witnessing violence in the home or community, having a family member attempt or die by suicide, substance misuse, mental health problems, instability due to parental seperation or housefold members being in jail or prison. ACEs are linked to chronic health problems, mental illness, and substance misuse in adulthood.
