"What if my child cries during their session?!" "COVID babies" is a thing. They've been stuck in the house forever and they're finally venturing out to see a bunch of strangers - and if that isn't overwhelming enough, many of those strangers are now wearing masks. And honestly, even aside from COVID, a lot of babies develop "stranger danger" at this age. Some are watched by family or friends and aren't used to going to daycare with new faces appearing regularly. And that'...s OKAY! Unless your child is downright terrified of all people, chances are it isn't going to be an issue. We may not get big smiles (though we will of course always try!) but chances are we're going to get a lot more really great images than you think! To help things along, I tell clients to let me know if their child is fearful and I will carve out time prior to your session just to sit and just play with toys together so they can get used to me and the new space they're in. We'll pull out all the stops with peek-a-boo, fake sneezes, singing (sorry in advance for that!) or playing their favorite music on my phone. I will always do whatever I can to make your little one comfortable and happy. There hasn't been a single session, since I've been doing this, where I couldn't get something parents loved!
