As I round the corner to my 32nd year, this is a big lesson I continue to learn.. an important tough one.. I’m getting better at recognizing the moments and navigating them via intimate, romantic happenings. This wasn’t a sad moment for me, it’s not the most upbeat topics either..also, it is what it is after all is said and done! Thanks for bearing witness. ... It’s not about me when they leave. I remind myself every time I forget and the worry creeps in. I AM an emotionally charged human being, and I have that to believe in. Human,being the main component . I.AM.SO.FUCKING.HUMAN. It’s not easy or comfortable for some others to believe in the humanity of their feels. For many it feels instead like the loss of their sanity; afraid to lose face and need to cling to their vanity. Or something.. I’m grateful that I’ve learned to listen inward and let out what needs to be healed.. accepting that there is greatness in my powers, strength in my softness, the amount of space I have to feel tender hearted. And the people I find love in can’t always mirror that, and often will find fear in that.. So they need to leave. To do their own work. And that’s ok. I support them from a place of love. One of the hardest things I’ve had to learn to do continuously is the love them and let them go part of life. It doesn’t get easier in the moment or feel nicer, because selfishly I want them to stay, to want me around to witness their hardships and the learning and growth. You can’t spell grow with out the ow. I want to be there when the ow turns into wow! I want to be a pillar of strength for them except they don’t want that from me. I need to let what once was,be. ..It’s sad and it’s ok. It’s not about me.

Every time I walk past this I feel good. I love this piece and I love that feeling- reminding myself that I am making pieces of my soul tangible, Into something we Can touch with our philanges, and mandibles, easing feelings into more manageable constructs. Moral of the story: Yay Art! In all it’s forms and glory.
