This was my first time photographing a wrestling dual! I enjoyed it! The boys did amazing. Senior Night photos were done by Kat at Focal Instincts. We will post those once we get them. - Melanie Steinkirchner (aka Billys mom)

Good afternoon CNUSD Families, We are all concerned with the spread of Coronavirus (COVID19). As members of the community, we recognize we must take appropriate... measures to do our part in controlling and containing the virus. I know this means most people will experience some inconvenience and a change in routine in the coming weeks. This is true for all of us who are part of Corona-Norco Unified School District. We are taking prudent and appropriate measures immediately to do our part. I want to thank you in advance, knowing all of our lives will be disrupted to some extent. Working together, we will do everything we can to protect our children, our employees and our community at large. We would like to remind you our school community has NO COVID-19 cases at this time. Corona-Norco Unified School District will immediately implement the following guidelines for events and/or activities through the end of March 2020. Based on California Governor Newsom’s Executive Order, and the Riverside County Public Health Department, the following criteria was considered in determining cancellation of events: Size of the event Indeterminate participation Essentiality of the event Canceled Events All large-scale events in excess of 250+ people All rallies All field trips involving air travel All field trips to other institutions (universities, museums, etc) with an established risk All conferences in locations with established risk All award ceremonies All open houses All outside Use of Facilities All sports competitions (on-campus practices are allowable) Other activities are being closely monitored and may be canceled due to the severity of risk in the area at the time of the event. We will continue to evaluate upcoming events daily to determine if the event will proceed as planned or if it will be canceled. School site administration will be messaging families regarding specific events that may not be listed above. We would also like to take this opportunity to dispel some community assumptions. 1. Is the District not closing schools for fear of losing money? - All Riverside County Public schools are in daily communication with the County Department of Public Health and depend on their direction for any and all school closures. As such, no district will lose funds due to closure of schools so it is not a financial decision for local districts. We will continue to monitor all information related to the Coronavirus, act with diligence, and make swift decisions with the guidance of our health authorities for all school related activities. 2. The Governor and Riverside County Public Health define large gatherings as 250 people or more. Why do schools remain open with this definition of large gathering? -Per the California State Governor’s Office, this guidance does not apply to activities such as attendance at regular school classes, work, or essential services. We recognize the difficult circumstances these decisions place on our students, staff, and families. It is necessary for CNUSD to be responsible global citizens and do our part to prevent the spread of this contagious disease and to protect all members of the Corona-Norco USD community. This matter remains extremely fluid, and information can change at any time. Thank you for your flexibility and your commitment to supporting us during this time. Sincerely, Corona-Norco Unified School District

Our community has been a great support to the Hawkins, Ivascu and Ruiz families. This is just one more way that we can contribute, one that will financially assist each family. #ittakesavillage #oneforallandallforone #community #wecare
