Happy 107th Birthday to the U.S. Navy Reserve! We give thanks to all of our brave Navy reservists past and present for your service to our country! Founded in 1915, during World War I the Navy Reserve made up almost 84% of the Navy's fighting force. This included, five future U.S. Presidents and 15 Medal of Honor recipients. Members of the Navy Reserve have since participated in every war the U.S. has fought. Currently, over 100,000 reservists serve as either the Selected Res...erve (SELRES) or Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) Sailors. These Reservists serve to amplify the Navy’s core capabilities, which include forward presence, deterrence, sea control, power projection, maritime security, humanitarian assistance, and disaster response. #usnavy #navyreserves #birthday

Nearly 20-30 million people are now enslaved worldwide, which is more than at any other time in human history. As a result, #NationalHumanTraffickingAwarenessDay was established to end these slaveries, to ensure that every individual has their rights, and make the world a safer place for all people. It is with great sorrow that we inform our law enforcement community that Farmer Branch POA’s very own Officer Garcia passed on April 25, 2021. He served as a patrol officer for six years. He leaves behind a 6-year old daughter and was expecting the birth of his son this June.
