Thanks for following our project. Here is a recap of what we did in just 8 weeks time, following our company's design.

In this project, we demolished 90% of a cottage in Los Gatos, and using our company's design, reframed it to this beautiful new home for our clients.

Progress in Los Gatos

We are so excited about our Los Gatos project! Check out our progress. All ceiling rafters are in, bird vent blocks, window headers and sills, etc.

The Glue Laminated beam is in!! This is what Sean does on Sunday, all by himself.

More photos of drywall love. We passed the building inspection mid-day Wednesday, and we have been working non stop laying tape everywhere, and there are seams everywhere! A standard sheet of drywall is 4'x8', and there were only a couple of whole sheets of drywall that we hung. Check it out as our project is taking shape!

Carmel Valley Project Update: We are 3 weeks into the project, and despite the abundance of rain and lack of power to the project site, Sean has single handedly insulated the 1800 square foot house. Drywall has been hung, with roughly one day remaining. That is 200 sheets of drywall, at over 50lbs a piece. Keep in mind that he is doing this by himself, and hanging 8 foot ceilings without the use of a ladder or stilts! That is my amazing guy and Santa Cruz Landmark Construction.

We are back in Carmel Valley renovating an 1800 square foot home that was damaged by fire and water. The good news is that the shell of the home is in perfect shape, however the extensive amount of water needed to put the fire out entailed gutting virtually the entire home. Here are some shots of the beginning of reconstruction.
